  1. NWQ-CS Neighbourhood Walking Questionnaire – Chinese version for Seniors. All perceived environmental attributes except for Residential density and Land-use mix – diversity were assessed using a 4-point Likert scale. Land-use mix – diversity was assessed by the perceived walking proximity from home to a list of destinations, with responses ranging from 1 to 5 min (5) to 30 min (1) walking distance. Residential density items used a 5-point scale with ratings weighted relative to the average residential density that a specific item represents (34). The score on each NEWS-CS subscale represents the level of presence of a specific attribute. For example, a higher score on the land use mix – diversity subscale indicates a higher degree of diversity in destination types within a neighbourhood; a higher score on the crime subscale indicates higher perceived crime in the neighbourhood
